JOHN SENTAMU, Archbishop of York
Ugandan born Sentamu is not afraid to tell it like it is, especially in his pro-English views. He's called for a re-discovery of English pride & cultural identity, warning that zeal for multiculturalism had "seemed to imply that other cultures be allowed to express themselves but not to let the majority culture at all tell us its glories, its struggles, its joys, its pains'

DAVID HAYTHORNTHWAITE, Patriot
Haythornthwaite is the owner and Chief Executive of the Tangerine Group in Lancashire. Every year on St George's Day, he gives his 120 staff the day off - with pay! David would like to see a St George's Day holiday rolled out throughout the whole of England - but seeing as our PM seems obsessed with keeping us bereft of any national pride, it is unlikely to happen soon...

JEREMY CLARKSON TV presenter
Clarkson is an enigma. Uncompromising and blunt, Jeremy is somewhat out of place in today's PC-obsessed BBC. You wonder why they don't sack him - then you look at the worldwide commercial success of the Top Gear franchise to realise why.... they can't afford to. Clarkson is a passionate Englishman - all the more strange then that one of his closet friends is English-hater, AA Gill.

KELTRUCK LIMITED business
Travel along the M5 in Birmingham and you cannot fail to see the massive St George's flag fluttering for England, 365 days a year. The flag flies outside the company offices of Keltruck Limited. MD, Chris Kelly recently put his patriotic money where his mouth was and donated £10,000 to the St George's parade fund at Sandwell after the local council withdrew financial support.

THE CPRE fighting for England
The CPRE is an organisation fighting to preserve England's rural idyll. And what a fight it is - England is the third most densely populated country in the world! The government seems obsessed with concreting over every square inch of English greenery and the only opposition seems to be the CPRE and local groups. We recommend that every English person join them - and help save the country from the bulldozers.

JEREMY PAXMAN news anchor
Paxo coined the phrase 'Scottish Raj' - and if nothing else, that alone makes him a friend of England. It summed up perfectly the political reality of England today - and of our democratic emasculation. He made the English public suddenly aware that we were being ruled by Scots - including Blair, Brown, Darling, Falconer, etc - and has helped in the rise of English awareness.

BILL BRYSON, author
Bryson has, over the years become a passionate Anglophile. He writes about us, he lives here and he is now trying to save what's left of the English lanscape with his involvement with the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England and the Keep Britain Tidy Group. His 'Notes from a small island' detailed the great originality of this country and the people that inhabit it.
